Betrayal

like floods through gates to ocean storms,
rage boils in worlds i forgot were real.
and like bright flames on oily waterfalls,
my burning hate erupts on waters teal.

once more there are lies to keep peace,
and silence to conceal them: deceive.
all was taken from my shunning hands:
gemstones robbed from my own sleeve.

and so far from my world's molten core
i'm helpless to separate friend from foe.
the storms, they will rage, but not far:
for treachery can't see beyond its snow.

no defendant will be present to vouch
for the pain here: down a dripping chin.
i will wallow, and they'll turn their backs
to ally with the enemy: burdened with sin.

no remorse looms over a selfish head.
as laughs are exchanged, i will scream,
hoping that one bastard will hear me:
praying his feathers will molt into steam.

now i leave you to your vices: betray me.
the ones i had trusted slash at my skin
with burning hot laughter at my sickness:
pretending it's jealousy that seals me in.

if i may raise a hand to ask just once
to he, the demon, who rules me still,
beast of hell, why must you haunt me so?
let me retreat now: you've eaten your fill.
ugh... he just won't go away, will he? what the fuck.

apparently my group of friends is going to be with him this upcoming weekend. figures they'd welcome him back with open arms the second i leave, eh? there will be pictures on facebook, and i'm kind of concerned that i'll relapse if i see them, but maybe i'll be able to fight through it. [i hope x,,x] i contemplated deleting a bunch of people from my facebook to avoid seeing any unwanted things, but i've decided that if i do that, he wins again. and i refuse to let him win. i can't run away from it. i have to face it head on, and not have a breakdown. we'll see what happens, i suppose.
